This creative couple were inspired by their recent travels & wanted to bring Kyoto home. We utilized the expansive front yard to play with juxtaposing textures, and invite communal contemplation. The generous parkway beds were a ripe opportunity to plant a rare citrus orchard. Selected standing stones were slow boated & carefully situated to accent the landscape and experiment with proportionality. The backyard operates as a more dedicated recreational space, using a minimal palette to compliment the busy textures of the hardscape elements.
